<reviewbody>Another great show Charlie was kind enough to grace us with in Winona. I think the recording turned out well, the second set definitely sounds better than the first though. And as the quality of the sound show raised, so did the energy in the room. I actually stomped out both of my shoelaces, and they were double knotted. And I'm pretty sure it was the first time I have seen a moshpit at a Charlie Parr show, nice work Joe.

I got my request for the hogkill blues, which was great. The story is amazing and powerful, and you can hear the conviction behind it. And Joe was pumped for the four part stories of Asa, Earl, Frank and the unnamed assailant, all one after another. How Charlie is able to portray the downtrodden as the beautiful hero's of their own stories is amazing. Then to see other character's outside perspectives on one another, it really helps you get a better idea of the people he's talking about and how one views oneself compared to another's point of view.

Some of the first set, and almost all of the second set was video taped from a nice intimate angle, and is posted to you-tube with this audio. The URL is http://www.youtube.com/springfedmusic

Also, I highly recommend Cheap wine from his first show at Ed's, http://www.archive.org/details/CP2007-07-30.sbd.flacf It still gives me chills to this day.</reviewbody>
